Maybe i should have been in the mafia, because im really diggen my new fedora. I dont think i have ever told yawl about my obsession with the mafia, i have loved every mafia movie i have ever seen, but my 4 favorites are Goodfellas, A Bronx Tale, Once upon a time in America, and Casino. So when my husband came home with this hat and a womans sun hat, i quickly tossed the sun hat to the side and put this one on. Whatcha think?

We had a blast at the carnival, everyone loved it, me and dj rode everything and dominik rode everything that he could, which was only about 4 rides so we just repeated them a lot. I got cotton candy, funnel cake, and philly cheese steak. I didnt wanna leave, but i thought crying and throwing a fit might draw a crowd so… anyway thought i would share some pics with yawl.
I am super duper excited, today i get to take my little ones to the carnival, and this will be the first time my little Dominik and Donnie have ever been to one.
I also have a confession to make, i like the carnival even more than my kids do. Shhh dont tell my husband though, lol.
The last time that we went dj was about 6 and we rode a camel together, it was a lot of fun. This year will be even better though, because you see my hubby doesnt like to get on the rides, but dj is almost 11 now, so he will be able to ride some of the scary rides with me. I feel like a little kid, i cant wait for the rides, cotton candy, and funnel cakes. Im probably gonna gain about 20 pounds today but its okay i dont really care that much. Anyway i hope everyone else has a great thursday, i know i will.
Words to live by.
You’ve got to stand for something, or you’ll fall for anything.

A great friend of mine on here is doing a MIRACLE challenge in which she’s asking everyone who wants to write about a MIRACLE they’ve experienced…to do so. I thought, since recently – I haven’t been writing, why not? I can sure write about a MIRACLE I’ve experienced… at least, that’s exactly what it felt like when I experienced it. A MIRACLE. So, here it goes:
I want to say it was Christmas 2004 or 2005. Not sure what year it was but I know it was around there. Ex husband and I had gone out to eat at our favorite spot, “Chili’s”. You could either find us there, or at the OLIVE GARDEN. We loved both places and we considered those, “Our spots”… well, this one Christmas, we had gone to eat as I said, enjoyed a nice dinner and time together, and we left. As we were driving…

I like it when our day’s not planned,
I like it when you know my thoughts,
I like it that you love me lots,
I like it when you look at me so sweet,
I like it when you ask me to please rub your feet,
I like the life that we have and the love that we share,
Id rather be here with you than anywhere,
I like that you know me inside and out,
I like who you are, of this have no doubt,
But mostly i like the way you make me feel, after 14 years it still seems unreal.

a) What is your favorite Bible verse?
Answer- 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
b) How long have you been a Christian?
Answer- It depends on your definition of the word christian, i have believed in God my whole life, but i would only be comfortable saying i have been a christian for about 3 years now.
c) How long have you had your wonderful blog?
Answer-n since January of 2014
d) What is your greatest accomplishment?
Answer- Getting and staying clean from drugs and alcohol.
e) Forest or bayou? Plains or mountains? River or ocean?
Answer- I was born and raised in the Appalachian mountains, so i am a mountain woman, and River all the way.
f) What makes you special?
Answer- My loved ones, with out them i am nothing.
g) Poetry or prose? Free verse or rhyme?
Answer- poetry, and either.
h) What is your favorite number?
Answer- 17 because i was 17 when i met my husband so it must be my lucky number.
i) Here’s a simple question: Why?
Answer- my son asked me a while back why we are here, i told him the point of life and the reason we are here is to help make other peoples lives better.
And thats it, thanks again Ada for the nomination it is very appreciated. 🙂
I cant tell you how much all of my new friendships here on wordpress have meant to me, i have met some truly wonderful and inspiring people, who have helped me see stuff about myself that i never realized before. My tiny little blog which was initially meant to help others has probably helped me more than it will ever help anyone else. It has became my escape, my refuge, a place where i can come and bear my soul, and even though i have told you some of my darkest and worst moments, i have never felt anything other than encouragement and support from you. Those are very important things to have for anyone, but for a recovering drug addict, and alcoholic, it is that much more important. I especially am constantly doubting myself not my sobriety, but myself. Am i really a good person now, or am i just kidding myself, am i really a good mother, wife, friend, daughter, i could go on and on. But my new friends here have no reason to lie to me, you all dont have to worry about running into me at the grocery store, so there are no awkward moments trying to be avoided. You dont want anything from me, (which is good cause i have nothing to offer). You are my friends simply because you want to be. And you have no idea how much that means to someone like me. So thank you all so much, i appreciate and value each and every one of you.
Your friend Diana
When i was young i was quite sad, never felt good always felt bad,
i didnt know how to change it and that made me mad, never had a mother just me and my dad.
If not for him i wouldnt be who i am today, so i suppose in the long run its good she went away.
My father is a wonderful man, whenever i said i couldnt he always said you can.
He always worked so hard for me, i didnt know then but now i see.
In my eyes he’s quite a hero, but he believes himself to be a zero.
Many mistakes he has made, but at least he cared, at least he stayed.
I love you dad and i hope you see, just how much you mean to me.
Hey blogging people, for those who dont know, i am of Irish and Native American descent, and i thought i would share 2 blessings that i really love.
IRISH BLESSING. May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, and the rains fall soft upon your fields. And until we meet again, may the Lord hold you in the hollow of his hand.
NATIVE AMERICAN BLESSING. May the sun bring you new energy by day, may the moon softly restore you by night, may the rain wash away your worries, may the breeze blow new strength into your being. May you walk gently through the world and know its beauty all the days of your life.
Hey everybody its Tuesday again, and this time i remembered to post some pics. I have been wanting to show yawl pictures of my zombie bathroom (proof that i am obsessed with The Walking Dead) for a good while now, but i kept forgetting and then when i did remember my bathroom was trashed and i was just to lazy to clean it. But here they are, plus my desk that i just finished and my new toy.
Im not sure if i have ever mentioned it before, but my husband and i both love to work with wood. And i thought i would show yawl our newest thing. Making plaques, it was a lot of fun making them so my whole house will likely be covered soon, lol. I also redid this antique barrel and i love it now. I love antiques anyway, but to bring something back to life with your own hands, is just awesome.
Do you want to know what happiness and love looks like? If so check this out.
Im slippen yawl, i completely forgot about random Tuesday pics. So you will get random tuesday pics on Thursday instead, lol. One is me on vaction in a beautiful cabin in Tennessee, which i think is one of my best pics. The other is me working on my 87 chevy puttin on new chrome valve covers, which is one of my worst pics, I still like it though, cause im working on my rat rod and i love that.
I absolutely love stuffed peppers but not the kind you are thinking of im sure, my family has a special recipe for stuffed peppers, i have never seen or heard of anyone else making them this way, but everyone who has ever tried em loves em and says they just cant go back to making them the way that they used to. okay here’s what your gonna need.
6 medium or large green belle peppers
1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
1 medium or large onion
1 1/2 sleeves of saltine crackers
1 can diced tomatoes
half a teaspoon of salt and pepper
and about a half a cup of mayonnaise
first fry up your ground beef, when done pour off excess grease and put your meat in a large bowl to cool, allow to cool in fridge for about 20 minutes, while that is cooling cut your peppers in halves and remove seeds, smash up your crackers semi fine you don’t want cracker dust but also don’t want huge chunks of crackers, drain tomatoes very well, and chop up your onion pretty fine as well. when your hamburger has cooled down enough add all of your other ingredients in with it. Now here is the fun part, you have to squeeze all of your ingredients together. If you are afraid of gettin dirty i don’t recommend this recipe. Put both hands in and squeeze and mix everything for at least a good 5 minutes. then start scooping it into your peppers until they are almost overflowing. Refrigerate for an hour and enjoy. This is one of my favorite recipes, they are delicious and even my very picky little ones love em. Thanks to my grandmother who created this recipe, if you were still with us i would make you a big batch of em.
Okay people, while i am thrilled to have such smart, educated, and articulate people following me, it is important that you realize i am not one of them, Lol. I know i am wearing glasses in my photo which of course means i am well educated (winks), i am not. so if you want me to understand your comments without having to go to a dictionary 20 times, use smaller words. I am but a simple country person/ housewife/ and mother of 4. Just act like your talking to a 13 year old. 😉
