About
Hi everybody my name is Diana I am a 29 year old wife and mother of four great Boy’s, and a daughter we lost in 2008. I have a life that I can honestly say I am very proud of, my life revolves around God, my husband, and my children. It hasn’t always been that way though. There. as a time when the most important thing to me was finding another pill or my next drink. That is not something that I am proud of, but I truly feel that if I am going to help anyone with anything, I have to first be honest about who I am. I have been clean and sober for 3 1/2 years, and they have been the best years of my life. In that time I have seen a lot of stuff going on that I don’t agree with. It is my hope that by writing how I feel and things that I have personally experienced that maybe it will change other people’s minds or help in some way. I do not agree with liberalism, feminism, or people that try to pass their failures off as someone else’s fault. Now on a less serious note I like to read, my favorite authors are Mary Higgins Clark, and Joyce meyer. I like camping, fishing, going to church, traveling, and gaming. My favorite games are anything zombie related,I am a huge zombie fan (always have been) my all time favorite shows 1. The walking dead 2. sons of anarchy and 3. True blood. So now you know a little bit about me, I hope you enjoy reading my blog and I look forward to reading your comments.
So great to meet you Diana, congrats on your 2.5 years. So awesome.
I’m still playing a little bit of catch up at my place, but I wanted to say thanks for finding me. I’m following you

Hi Diana, your nickname caught my attention but I really found interesting that my name is also Diana and I am also 29 years old. I do have 2 stepsons and 1 stepdaughter, I am new here and for more than six years, I have been working as a baby sitter for different families here and there and loving every baby or toddler I have the opportunity to share with. My blog is new, I am looking for moms, dads, babysitters and more, who can give and share some advises and funny stories about parenting or taking care of children.
Nice to meet you and I hope to see you on my blog as well: http://sitterspeakup.wordpress.com/
Btw, I am also a Walking Death fan, jeje…

You are a very strong women and I am very proud of your ability to overcome. I admire that. I am not sure the same would be for me if I was to endure what you went thru. I have one girl and two boys. Loosing any of them would destroy me. You give me hope! Thank you for that.

I appreciate that, but I am a different character altogether. Being in the Army, I have witnessed death take people close to me and have lost friends…but we are trained day in and day out to accept that and at some point you find it easier to believe its part of the job, but to have that same belief at home….well, I don’t think it would be quite a good ending for me. Like you I would have ended on the same path, however, I’m not sure I would get off it. But that in itself is my reason for admiration.

Nip/Tuck fans must always stand united. Lol. I actually find the recent seasons of the walking dead diminishing in quality, especially the last. The comic books are great though.
It’s wonderful to read about your state of being sober. Here is to wishing you and the family the very best going forward. To lose a child, the very thought is unbearable.

Yes I have the first 4 seasons of nip/tuck on dvd, and The Walking dead has went down hill a little but from the previews I have seen season 5 looks pretty good. Tomorrow is my anniversary i have been clean and sober for 3 years tomorrow, Thankyou for your sympathy it was very hard when we lost our daughter and at times it still is.

I want to wish you a elated, but many blessings on your sober anniversary. I am sure for many reasons, July 27 is a powerful day. It is a great reminder to have. With your daughter, the pain will be a memory even at the age of 75, you will not forget. Such a tragedy.
As for Nip/Tuck, you could not take me away from the television during that hour. Lol. The music was great, story lines were great, chemistry, etc. We watched the trailer for season 5 of The Walking Dead, and our reaction was the very same. My wife just looked bored and I looked bored. They cannot continue the same pacing and boring approach as last season, but they seem to be doing just that. It is sad because the story they are using, is of course from the comic book, and it is an incredible one.

Thankyou so much, the 27th is a very special day for me and my family, and i know that the pain from missing my daughter will never go away but knowing I will be with her again one day helps a little.
As for nip/tuck I loved the first 3 seasons of it but after that it got kinda crazy I hope the walking dead doesnt make the same mistake. And I have not read the comic books but everyone keeps saying they are great so I may have to start.

The very best you can do is remain in the presence of loved ones, after experiencing such a loss. There are times to be alone of course, but family is the support system able to maintain our structure when our legs are weak.
I actually felt the same way about the last season of Nip/Tuck. I think they were losing a lead member of the cast, and it just shifted their writing in such a way, they did not know what to do. This reminds me of the OC. One of the leading members wanted out and the writing suffered severely.

Embarrassingly enough, I never read your bio…I was so busy when I did the guest post for you idk what happened… wow. Again, your candidness is so inspiring… I have more about myself I probably need to share, but we have these preconceived notions of seeming less than if we spill things about ourselves that are less than perfect when we are “leaders” which is what you and I are, by being bloggers — but when I read someone else baring their soul, I see them as more than perfect. I guess I have to get over that, cause I really dont care what people think, except the ones that might get a spark of inspiration and change their lives by what I have shared. I’ve had my own battles with “self-medicating” which is what it really is.. and in my prayers I ALWAYS remember the addicts trying to get clean. I miss Intervention, it was really such a great show and showed what is really the truth.. that addicts are probably the most sensitive loving people, that couldn’t handle the pain. The rest of what they did to stay that way- bad parts, like stealing, etc., are to feed the disease. Be strong and be proud.. I glanced at your post and I know how hard that can be.. I’m a runner and I’ve been battling with smoking lately (long story)! I don’t mean to say that’s all I read by your bio.. it just sticks out the most to me so I had to comment on that. Keep writing it out and being the amazing person you are.

Thanks so much for the support dear, I just quit smoking a little over 3 weeks ago and I still cant believe I actually did it. I love my smokes but I had to give it up, it was getting pretty hard to breath and the idea of dying and leaving my kids over a cigarette was not acceptable. It is easier now but I still want one sometimes, the important thing is to push the thought out of your mind as soon as it enters or it will drive you crazy and you will smoke again.

Well its definitely do able.. whatever you do don’t give in. That was also a catalyst into my running along with the dog needing exercise (I gained a little weight there after quitting.. I was smoke free for 3 years when I ran the marathon)… but man crap led me back (one I dated who smoked) and I’ve struggled ever since. I’m tellin ya gf.. if I actually make it to the finish line for my second marathon.. its going to be epic, with all the challenges this year has brought me.
