I hope everyone had a great thanksgiving, I definitely did! I spent my day cooking and my son dj helped me for the first time so I really enjoyed that, getting to teach him some of my cooking tricks was a lot of fun for me! But I spent my day with the people I love the most in this world, except my son Dustin he had to work which stunk but it was a great day anyway and I ate way to much, lol! And my amazing husband even helped me clean up afterwards!
First time making homemade mini pizzas, they are loving it.
The most popular dessert i make is my special butterfinger cake, people always request it for special occasions, and its pretty simple to make so i thought i would share it with yawl. Just dont tell anybody my recipe, lol. I hope you enjoy it as much as my family and friends do.
You will need
1 box of triple chocolate fudge cake mix
1 20 ounce bottle of caramel syrup
3 large eggs
1/2 a cup vegetable oil
1 1/4 cups water
1 11.5 ounce bag of fun size butterfingers
The first thing you need to do is prepare your cake mix, im not gonna explain all that cause the directions are on the back of the box so.. anyway after that is all mixed together you will need to smash up 5 butterfinger bars and add them to the mix, (to smash up your butterfingers the best thing to use is a potato masher) then put in the oven and bake on 350 for 20 – 30 minutes depending on your oven. When cake is done allow it to cool for about 45 minutes before topping is added. While your cake is cooling smash up about 15 butterfingers and set aside. Once your cake has cooled pour your caramel in a zig zag pattern on your cake like this. Then apply some of your butterfinger crumbs, make sure you cover all of the caramel like this. After that just repeat the zig zag pattern with caramel, then coat with butterfinger again, then one more coat of caramel. This is what it should like like when done. . Then just cut you a big ole piece of awesomeness and enjoy.
I absolutely love stuffed peppers but not the kind you are thinking of im sure, my family has a special recipe for stuffed peppers, i have never seen or heard of anyone else making them this way, but everyone who has ever tried em loves em and says they just cant go back to making them the way that they used to. okay here’s what your gonna need.
6 medium or large green belle peppers
1 1/2 pounds of ground beef
1 medium or large onion
1 1/2 sleeves of saltine crackers
1 can diced tomatoes
half a teaspoon of salt and pepper
and about a half a cup of mayonnaise
first fry up your ground beef, when done pour off excess grease and put your meat in a large bowl to cool, allow to cool in fridge for about 20 minutes, while that is cooling cut your peppers in halves and remove seeds, smash up your crackers semi fine you don’t want cracker dust but also don’t want huge chunks of crackers, drain tomatoes very well, and chop up your onion pretty fine as well. when your hamburger has cooled down enough add all of your other ingredients in with it. Now here is the fun part, you have to squeeze all of your ingredients together. If you are afraid of gettin dirty i don’t recommend this recipe. Put both hands in and squeeze and mix everything for at least a good 5 minutes. then start scooping it into your peppers until they are almost overflowing. Refrigerate for an hour and enjoy. This is one of my favorite recipes, they are delicious and even my very picky little ones love em. Thanks to my grandmother who created this recipe, if you were still with us i would make you a big batch of em.
