Plot : A virus has escaped in a secret facility called “The Hive,” turning the staff (Umbrella Corporation) into flesh eating zombies, which causes the complex computer (The Red Queen) to shutdown the base to prevent the spread of the infection. A military task force is sent in to shut down the main computer and quarantine the deadly virus. What they don’t know is that they must fight their way past all the zombies, mutants, and the computer itself , before the virus escapes and infects the rest of the world. Will the team make it out alive? Review : I know how much Diana loves zombies so this review is for her, thank you for allowing me to guest blog on your site! This film can arguably be one of the best zombie movies ever made. I’ve always been a big fan of this franchise and you can credit the first movie for that. The film was great and really got you into everything that was going on and left you wanting more. Lets start out with the acting, Mila Jovovich and her supporting cast all did an amazing job in this film, it was honestly an excellent all around acting performance. The story couldn’t get any better then the one that they wrote, it was entertaining and gave us some great thrills, with a little bit of a mystery vibe. I say mystery vibe because throughout the film Alice sees flashbacks and it just makes you wonder why she is seeing these things and how it will impact this movie later on.
Now in order for a horror movie to be successful, it needs to have some good scares, which is exactly what this film provides. You can get scared by just looking at the zombies, honestly they’re creepy and disgusting. The mutant creatures including the dogs were absolutely terrifying, the makeup for this movie was very impressive and extremely well done. There really weren’t that many kills but the kill scenes were crazy and were absolutely gory. This is such a gruesome movie and you have to love that. There were also plenty of bad ass scenes that had us wishing that we had some of Alice’s crazy powers. I wish I could kick some ass like her!
Overall I absolutely loved this film and think that it is the best zombie movie to ever come out. I know some people may disagree, but you really have to appreciate this film, especially since this movie has made the numerous amount of video games become successful because of this film. The acting and story in this movie were great and can really keep the viewers on the edge of their seats. The horror and thrill in this movie was at an all time high, if you don’t get scared at least once I would be surprised. The best thing about the film has to be the makeup, everything was very well done, which allowed the zombies and mutants to be as scary as they can be. I honestly have no complaints about this amazing film. If you haven’t seen this movie yet I absolutely recommend that you go watch it. You wont regret it! The film is a must watch!!
I give this movie a 10/10
Thank you for reading. Written by Matthew, author of Horrorville.
Once again, thank you for the opportunity Diana!
Spoiler alert I dont usually do reviews on movies or tv programs, but i was in love with the show True Blood and the last episode they will ever do just went off, and may i just say that that was without a doubt the worst way they could have ended it. It sucked so bad that i have to say i wish i had not seen it, it ruined the whole series for me. Not only did sookie help Bill kill himself but they turned Eric into a kinda nerdy sell out, Lafayette did not even speak in this episode and at the end sookie is pregnant by a faceless human nobody. What a waste of a good show.
This morning i read a book, a book that i feel has the ability to help mend a childs broken heart, and give clarity where there was confusion. The book i am talking about is called, Daddy’s Disease, written by Carolyn Hannan Bell. It is a children’s book, that helps children who have an alcoholic parent understand what alcoholism is and how it works. Let me just say the author is genius in how she knows an alcoholics mind, and the simplicity she uses to explain alcoholism so that a child really understands. This book is not one that would bring most people to tears, but it did with me, because being a recovering alcoholic myself, i know that my children experienced some of these same feelings. Even though i have explained addiction to my children, i dont think they could truly grasp what i was saying, so i am going to be reading this book to them, just as soon as i have it in my hands. Now it is a childrens book but honestly i know many adults who could possibly benifit from reading it as well. So even if you dont have children, you should check it out.
When someone has a spouse who is an alcoholic, it is more often than not very hard to overcome their own emotional stress, and it can be hard to find the right words to explain to their children, exactly what is going on in a way that they understand it. This book is the perfect way to ensure that children know what is happening, and that most importantly they know that it is in know way their fault. I absolutely would recommend this book to anyone who has an alcoholic in the there family, or to anyone who just has a hard time really understanding how alcoholism works. I would like to thank Mrs. Carolyn Hannan Bell for writing such a wonderful book in efforts to help children experience less pain, due to having an alcoholic parent.
